TSA Surfacecheck® irradiated 55mm contact plates consist of Tryptone Soya Agar (TSA) + Neutralisers to permit direct environmental sampling. TSA plates are a highly nutritious general-purpose medium for neutralising antibacterials and for the growth of bacteria and fungi.

Irradiated VHP triple-wrapped TSA plates are available from stock with shelf life of up to 26 weeks.

TSA Surfacecheck® N (Tryptone Soya Agar+Neutralisers), Contact Plate, Irradiated is a ready-to-use irradiated plate supplied by SGL for general-purpose cultivation, environmental monitoring and microbial recovery in routine microbiology QC. .

Contact plate to permit direct environmental sampling.

It is suitable for use in pharmaceutical microbiology; biotechnology; environmental monitoring; water testing; environmental testing. ISO 11133 performance testing principles where applicable.

Tryptone Soya Agar (TSA) Surfacecheck® N also known as casein soya bean digest agar is a medium primarily designed to recover a wide range of micro-organisms. The base medium is described in the European Pharmacopoeia (EP) 2.6.12 and United States Pharmacopeia (USP) <61>. The medium contains a variety of neutralising agents to reduce the growth inhibiting effects of a range of potentially interfering or antimicrobial substances. The contact plates are triple wrapped and irradiated to ensure sterility and intended for use in cleanroom environments predominantly for monitoring the bioburden of flat surfaces where disinfectant residues may be present.
