Description
0670 – SGL supplies Ringers Solution 1/4 Strength in a ready-to-use Universal Container format for routine microbiological testing. It is suitable for water and environmental testing, sample preparation and serial dilution procedures.
Laboratories use Ringers Solution 1/4 Strength to prepare suspensions of microbiological samples, including water and milk. Its balanced salt formulation helps minimise osmotic shock and supports the recovery of sensitive microorganisms during sample preparation and dilution.
The product supports methods described in The Microbiology of Drinking Water, International Dairy Federation (IDF) methods and applicable requirements of ISO 11133. Laboratories can also use the solution to monitor microbiological contamination on equipment and apparatus using rinse and swab methods.
SGL manufactures and quality-controls the product to its internal specifications and in compliance with ISO 9001 (reference FM37824). A UKAS-accredited laboratory operating to ISO/IEC 17025 (accreditation number 4356) tests the product in accordance with ISO 11133. At the customer’s request, the laboratory can also perform additional specification testing.
