SDA Surfacecheck® N (Sabouraud Dextrose Agar + Neutralisers) Irradiated Contact Plate primarily recovers yeasts and moulds. European Pharmacopoeia (EP) 2.6.12 and United States Pharmacopeia (USP) <61> describe the base medium.
The medium contains several neutralising agents that reduce the growth-inhibiting effects of potentially interfering or antimicrobial substances. SGL triple-wraps and irradiates the contact plates to ensure sterility. Cleanroom operators can use them to monitor the bioburden of flat surfaces where disinfectant residues may be present.
Neutralisation:
SGL manufactures SDA Surfacecheck® N Irradiated Contact Plates under its ISO 9001-certified quality management system (certificate FM37824). A UKAS-accredited laboratory operating to ISO/IEC 17025 (accreditation No. 4356) tests the product. SGL can also perform additional specification testing at the customer’s request.
