8099 – Dichloran Rose Bengal Chloramphenicol (DRBC) Agar, 90mm Plate is a ready-to-use prepared plate supplied by SGL for routine microbiological testing using a ready-to-use prepared plate. It is suitable for use in food and beverage; contract testing laboratories.
Dichloran Rose Bengal Chloramphenicol (DRBC) Agar, supplied in a 90 mm plate, requires storage in the dark. Light degrades Rose Bengal and produces compounds that can be toxic to fungi. Dichloran restricts the rapid spread of moulds, while Rose Bengal reduces colony size to support easier recognition and enumeration. Together, these components allow slow-growing fungi to develop without fast-growing moulds overgrowing them.
