Tryptone Soya Agar (TSA) Surfacecheck® also known as casein soya bean digest agar is a medium primarily designed to recover a wide range of micro-organisms as described in the European Pharmacopoeia (EP) 2.6.12 and United States Pharmacopeia (USP) <61>. The contact plates are triple wrapped and irradiated to ensure sterility and intended for use in cleanroom environments predominantly for monitoring the bioburden of flat surfaces.
Additional specification testing may be performed as requested by the customer.

TSA Surfacecheck® (Tryptone Soya Agar) Contact Plate Irradiated is a ready-to-use irradiated plate supplied by SGL for general-purpose cultivation, environmental monitoring and microbial recovery in routine microbiology QC. It is suitable for use in pharmaceutical microbiology; biotechnology; environmental monitoring; water testing; environmental testing. This product is relevant to microbiology workflows described in USP <61>/<62> and Ph. Eur. 2.6.12/2.6.13 workflows where applicable; ISO 11133 performance testing principles where applicable.
