Description
3260 – Ringers Solution 1/40 Strength, polypropylene universal is a ready-to-use bottled medium supplied by SGL for routine microbiological testing. It is suitable for use in food, dairy, water and environmental testing. Manufactured and quality controlled to SGL internal specifications.
Ringers Solution 1/40 Strength is a sterile, weakly osmotic laboratory diluent engineered to maintain the viability of bacterial cells without promoting active proliferation, preventing osmotic shock in delicate applications. Unlike standard isotonic alternatives, the 1/40 strength (0.025%) variant offers a lower salt concentration, making it the ideal choice for applications where mineral residues must be minimised to prevent interference. due to the lower salt concentration, it works well as a gentle rinse agent and as a diluent in short term sample preparation.
SGL manufactures this product under its ISO 9001-certified quality management system (reference FM37824). A UKAS-accredited laboratory operating to ISO/IEC 17025 (reference 4356) tests the product in accordance with ISO 11133. SGL can also conduct additional specification testing at the customer’s request.
