We are pleased to officially open the SGL Green Space, a new outdoor area created for colleagues to enjoy at our Corby site.
The space has transformed a previously underused part of the site into an attractive garden with new planting, trees, seating areas and SGL’s distinctive orange parasols. It provides colleagues with somewhere to take a break, enjoy lunch outdoors and spend time together away from their usual working environment.
A number of SGL colleagues also helped with the planting and preparation of the garden. Their involvement has made the project a genuine team effort and helped create a space that belongs to everyone across the business.
The SGL Green Space forms part of our wider commitment to environmental, social and governance improvements. Alongside our investment in renewable energy, more sustainable packaging, recycling and water-efficiency projects, we also recognise the importance of creating a positive and supportive place to work.
The new planting will help improve the appearance and biodiversity of the site as it becomes established, while the seating areas provide an additional space to support employee wellbeing and social interaction.
We look forward to seeing the garden continue to develop and become a valued part of life at SGL.
